ClipFlint — Terms, Privacy & Refunds

Terms of Service

ClipFlint turns long-form video you upload (or link) into short-form clips. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

Your content and rights. You keep all rights to media you upload and to the clips ClipFlint produces from it. You must own the content you process or have permission from whoever does — the service asks you to confirm this on every upload, and that confirmation must be true. Don't process content you have no rights to; we may suspend accounts that do.

Acceptable use. No illegal content, no content that infringes others' intellectual-property or privacy rights, no attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, no resale of the service itself.

Accounts and API keys. Keep your API key private; you're responsible for activity under it. We may revoke keys that are abused.

Billing. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe, with a 7-day trial (card up front — you're not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then from the billing portal). Plans include usage quotas (upload minutes and clips per period); unused quota doesn't roll over.

Service quality. ClipFlint is provided "as is." Automated transcription, scoring, and rendering are imperfect by nature; we don't guarantee any particular output quality, uptime, or that clips will perform on any platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Termination. You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with a refund of any unused prepaid period if the violation wasn't yours.

Changes. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.

Privacy Policy

What we collect. Your email address and account details; the media files you upload or link (processed to produce transcripts, scores, and rendered clips, and stored so you can download your results); usage data (plan, quota usage, and product events like "clip rendered") used to operate and improve the service.

Payments. Handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store only your Stripe customer reference and subscription status.

Processing. Transcription runs on our servers. Clip selection uses Anthropic's Claude API — transcript text (not your raw media) is sent to Anthropic for scoring, subject to their data-use terms for API customers.

What we don't do. We don't sell your data, we don't use your content to train models, and we don't share it with anyone except the processors named above.

Retention and deletion. Your media and results stay until you delete them or your account. Email [email protected] to have your account and all associated data deleted; we complete deletion within 30 days.

Refund Policy

The 7-day trial exists so you can judge the product before paying — cancel anytime during it and you owe nothing.

Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from the billing portal; you keep access until the end of the paid period. If something went wrong — a billing error, a double charge, or the service genuinely didn't work for you in your first paid month — email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we'll make it right, including a full refund where that's the fair outcome.
